ANTI-CORRUPTION CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY BT On October 8 the president published his state program on intensifying struggle against corruption for the period of 2002-2006. When one looks at all the turmoil, produced by another wave of the anti-corruption campaign, he wonders whether there are still left those who are able to believe in the efficacy of the state-run struggle against the phenomenon, which is the integral part of the state. From the logical point of view the very notion “State anti-corruption program” is a nonsense in itself. The jury turned down the appeal, filed by the lawyer Tatyana Stankevich. The court hearings opened at 10a.m. and lasted for no more than half an hour. more Among the former Soviet republics Belarus has the worst record of freedom of faith violations. Recently the Belarusian parliament approved one of the most repressive religious laws in the whole of Eurasia. Such a conclusion is contained in the new annual report of the US Department of State on the freedom of faith in various countries.
